10 WrestleMania Main Events We Want To See
The first ever Royal Rumble match gave us a once in a lifetime match when we saw Alexa Bliss Sasha Banks and Ember Moon battle in what may have been the greatest match we’ve ever seen in WWE. This year we have an opportunity to once again witness a history making match when we crown the second ever Royal Rumble match winner. With Alexa Bliss and Sasha Banks as current champions and Nia Jax and Paige as their challengers here some matches we may and would love to see happen.
1. Alexa Bliss vs Sasha Banks
Possibly the Greatest Women’s singles title match we’ve never got see unfold. It looked like these 2 women would have their singles bout at the inaugural WrestleMania event but Ember Moon would later be added to make it a triple threat. Even though these 2 women were the final 2 they still wrestled most of the match with Ember taking charge. The only other 2 singles bouts these ladies had both ended in a DQ finish and we’ve never got to see a true one on one promo battle or match clash between these 2 rivals. On the surface it may seem their rivalry gave us multiple matches but these 2 women have only had 2 singles matches against one another and 2 other matches involving more than one opponent. Sasha Banks interestingly enough has never lost a match to Alexa Bliss. The Goddess would sure love to change that but unlike the Boss prove that she can defeat Sasha Banks without any help and set in stone her stature as the greatest Superstar of all time. We sure haven’t seen the end to their
2. Charlotte Flair vs Sasha Banks
These 2 ladies certainly have a score to settle. Sasha Banks as mentioned above won the women’s title in the first ever main event of WrestleMania and thought she would be congratulated by her two friends Lacey Evans and Charlotte Flair, but was instead backstabbed by the 2 women she thought were her closest allies. A day later the trio would be separated in the WWE draft and have yet to be on the same brand since. But Sasha finally got her shot at revenge at Survivor Series when she would stand across the ring from both Charlotte and Lacey. Despite getting a few good hits on the lady of WWE,it would be Charlotte would eliminate the Boss from the match. The following night on Raw Sasha Banks would get her hands on Charlotte one on one and would demolish Charlotte in singles action before Becky Lynch would save the queen from what was soon to be an embarrassing loss to the boss. With the royal rumble coming up and Sasha Banks keeping a strangle hold on her title this time around,we would surely love to see Charlotte win the Royal Rumble and challenge the Boss in the main event on the 1 year anniversary of the biggest betrayal the boss has possibly ever had and this rivalry a year in the making sure would have the WWE universe of the edge of their seats to see this hotly contested match with an added cherry on top being the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
3. Charlotte Flair vs Alexa Bliss
These ladies formed one of the most dominant stables in all of WWE when they teamed up with Lacey Evans to form the Lady Squad. Alexa and Charlotte would end up being the only ones who defended the tag titles as Lacey Evans would suffer through injury. At SummerSlam however that all changed when they not only lost the tag team titles but also lost the main event Raw Women’s Championship match when Lacey Evans was special guest referee. At the conclusion of the match Lacey would brutalize Alexa Bliss and Charlotte would be nowhere to be found during the duration of this feud. Even though the two would cross paths at TLC,they didn’t get a chance to battle on the mic and had another competitor in the match in Maryse. We would sure love to see these women face off against each other with Alexa letting her feelings be known and finally have a blissful royal main event at WrestleMania.
4. Naomi vs Sasha Banks
2/3 women who make up team bad. Naomi and Sasha have seemed inseparable since forming this team in late September and have been a force to be reckoned with ever since. The 2 started off throwing catty shade at one another culminating in a match on SmackDown that ended when Liv Morgan had some not so nice things to say about them. The 2 would then realize they share the same spirit of competition and would join forces rather than fight. Even though the two seem very close right now it is hard to believe one day Naomi won’t get tired of playing second fiddle to the champion and wouldn’t try her shot at the gold. A rumble win would be the perfect way to start off on her quest for the gold not only punching a ticket to the main event but also trying to prove that she is better than the boss many people put her below. Naomi certainly shined on her own and gave the boss a run for her money in their only clash so one can only imagine when the title is on the line and the 2 women have nothing to hold back in a clash for the ages. A melanin main event indeed that we would love to see sometime down the road but only time will tell if we get this match sooner or later...
5. Becky Lynch vs Alexa Bliss
Becky Lynch and Alexa Bliss previously faced off in an amazing champion vs champion match in the main event of Survivor Series that saw the then SmackDown Women’s Champion tap out the Raw Women’s Champion. Becky proved that night that straight fire was enough to burn down a goddess’ kingdom but knowing the passion for a good fight these 2 women have,it will not be the last time they face off in a match against one another. This time with a championship on the line, alexa bliss out to prove that Beckys win was another fluke loss and Becky Lynch out to prove that she can get it done when the stakes are their highest and that she can do it more than just once, this match will surely be a worthy main event of any pay per view but at WrestleMania would make it all the sweeter.
6. Paige vs Alexa Bliss
No doubt the most dominant champions in all of WWE history Paige and Alexa Bliss have an interesting match up to give us. Paige nearly broke Alexa’s record for longest title reign ever during her first and only championship run. During her reign she did a lot to just avoid the Goddess and also was able to pin her to retain her title at SummerSlam in a fatal 5 way match. It was during this Alexa started doubting herself asking if she could get it down when it counted anymore. When she would finally capture the title it wouldn’t be by beating the anti diva however and soon after Paige was drafted to SmackDown. This match would no doubt be a instant classic as Alexa would be out to beat the one woman she never has been able to beat before and Paige out to prove that she is truly the best their ever is and will be. A WrestleMania main event indeed that nobody would complain about seeing and their back and forth on the microphone wouldn’t hurt either.
7. Lacey Evans vs Sasha Banks
These two women with a big score to settle no doubt would produce the hottest and most intense rivalry in all of WWE. Lacey turned on Sasha in the biggest moment of Sasha’s career and humiliated her along with Charlotte and Alexa. They may have crossed paths briefly at Survivor Series with the boss giving the lady of WWE a good few hits, but the WWE universe wants to see these 2 in a match one on one finally able to put it all in the ring. Sasha out to get revenge on Lacey Evans for embarrassing her and Lacey out to prove that she dropped the dead weight last year would certainly be a hot feud heading into WrestleMania and possibly the biggest feud we have the potential of seeing. Their back and forth on the mic would be gold but the grudge they would show in their match would be even better and have us all clamoring for more and more bouts like these.
8. Alexa Bliss vs Asuka
The empress of tomorrow no doubt one of the most dominant forces in all of WWE would love to get her hands on Alexa Bliss in a Raw Women’s Championship match. Asuka and Alexa were both drafted to SmackDown and many thought this would be a match we would see down the line without a doubt. Asuka however would suffer an injury and take time off while Alexa moved to Raw. Now with the rumble right around the corner, alexa as champion and Asuka ready to take a title this is a match for the ages everyone wants to see. The 2 most dominant in ring performers ever one on one with a title on the line in the main event of WrestleMania? Nobody would know what to expect from this matchup and that’s the best part, these 2 wouldn’t let up for one second no doubt and would give us an intense nail biting fiasco that would have us wanting another match.
9. Paige vs Emma
The first ever woman to battle for the Raw Women’s Championship at WrestleMania. Both ladies are 1-1 in one on one title matches and we would love to see a tie breaking result finish between the two in a WrestleMania worthy main event that would have everyone glued to their screens and we would love to see the two women have one more match with the stakes at their highest to prove why one is better than the other to show why she is the greatest Raw Women’s Champion of all time.
10. Becky Lynch vs Ember Moon
The best rivalry to not give us a match. Becky and Ember 2 women who have stamped their name not just on the SmackDown Women’s title but as the 2 best SmackDown Superstars in history. Ember ended Beckys reign soon after Becky won the title from Sasha Banks and was a last minute insertion into the SmackDown Women’s title match at money in the bank. Becky was screwed over not only by her best friend weeks prior but now she was screwed out of her title too and she had no idea where she would go. Becky and Ember have only had one, one on one clash at that was the money in the bank fallout edition of Smackdown in which Becky came up short once again. It looked like the 2 would finally come to blows at Clash of Champions after Becky actually earned her match but she was attacked backstage and replaced in the match. The 2 would once again face off at hell in a cell in a 6 pack challenge this time with Ember Moon being on the losing end and Becky raising her title high. We thought the two would finally face off at TLC but Becky lost the title to Sasha Banks and was traded to Raw where they were separated before we were able to see a real conclusion to their story. With the rumble and chamber right around the corner there is a chance we can finally see these 2 one on one for the title no more shenanigans no more replacements and no more excuses when the bell rings in the one on one bout for the last time. Everybody would love to see what happens when the war goddess and irish lass kicked face off in their biggest to happen.
